![]() ![]() If you’re on this sub, I have a hard time believing you’d absolutely hate it since it’s so targeted at that demographic. I’m guessing a lot of you have seen it, but if not, I’d recommend it. When Jay and Silent Bob learn that their comic-book alter egos, Bluntman and Chronic, have been sold to Hollywood as part of a big-screen movie that leaves. His character feels like one he might play in one of his starring roles, so it really works. When I saw that he was in it, I didn’t know whether his style of comedy would mesh with Kevin Smith‘s, but it really does. I realize a lot of the cameos are from people he had already worked with, but even those are great, and there’s some beyond those that I was truly shocked they were able to get. ![]() Given that I’m a member of this sub, it probably goes without saying that I’m a huge movie buff, so all the movie references in this were awesome to see. The comic Bluntman and Chronic is adapted for the big-screen by Hollywood without the permission of the real-life stoner. (He talks twice in this one and both times are awesome.) And it makes the payoff even greater when he does speak once or twice in every movie. This is from the movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001) is when Bluntman and Chronic portrayed by Jason Mewes (Jay) and Kevin Smith (Silent Bob) are fig. His facial expressions crack me up every time. For someone so talkative in interviews, he does really well with visual comedy. Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is a 2019 American satirical buddy stoner comedy film written, directed, edited by, and starring Kevin Smith. I’m particularly becoming more and more of a fan of Kevin Smith as Silent Bob. Having watched and really enjoyed the Clerks movies, I was skeptical whether the whole Jay and Silent Bob act would work for 90 minutes, but I’m happy to say that it really does, at least in this case. ![]()
